Charred Cream Cheese Peppers
Tiny spicy peppers with a soft centre and just enough char.
A little heat outside, a soft centre inside. The food stays simple while the story does the extra work.
What you need
Ingredients
- 8–10 small spicy peppers
- 150 g cream cheese
- 40 g grated cheddar
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 1 small garlic clove
- Black pepper
- Panko and olive oil, optional
Make it happen
Method

Dry the peppers well, then slice them lengthwise.

Mix cream cheese, cheddar, chives, garlic and black pepper.

Fill the peppers without making the tops too perfect.

Add a little panko and oil if using.

Char with a kitchen torch or place briefly under a hot grill.
